In some work, a god can be evil, or corrupt. Gods are known for their vast power and immortality, though they can still be killed.
It is also common for these gods to have children with mortals, causing demi gods to walk the Earth, such as Hercules.
However, in my work gods/goddesses are more commonly known as Divine Ones, or Divine Beings, the mortals do call them gods and goddesses as well. However, they cannot be killed in the literal sense of the word. Such as in Worlds of the Fey, they are shattered into Gems instead of dying or in Domain of the Gods, they are sent back to the Realm of Origin.
Also in my work, in order for a god or goddess to have offspring of any kind, they have to shed their Divine Status and become mortal. Though this does cause them to be more powerful than other mortals, but they are subject to ailments, and everything else that comes with Mortality. In Worlds of the Fey, the first Elves are children of the Moon goddess Laylent and the god of Human Creation, Cilvetico, when they shed their divine status and walked the lands of Gresha. They would eventually die of old age, but due to their choices in life, the other Divine beings allowed them to regain the Divine Status.
In my works...
No other god holds this title.
No other god comes before this God.

Much like how gods and goddess judge humans, the Creator God judges the other gods base on the roles they play and the roles that have been assigned or taken up.
When the Divine Beings receive prayers and thanks for deeds done for the mortal races, they offer these prayers and thanks to the Creator God.
There are some worlds that the Creator God oversees personally. Earth (Tales of the Half-Bloods) is one of them.

This causes their bodies to shatter into organic matter, which to mortals looks, feels, smell, and even tastes like normal Gems. They vary in size, name, quantity and color, no two divine gem sets are alike, sometimes similar.
The problem with these gems is that if a mortal takes possession of these their minds maybe overwritten by the Divine Being in question, or they could share the body, allowing the mortal to have some semblance of a normal like. Though their ability to have offspring is no longer an option as said mortal is henceforth considered to be a Divine Being. Unlike natural Divine Being, a mortal cannot simply shed said Divinity.
